This is the second road accident in the Pir Panjal region of Jammu and Kashmir in two days. On Wednesday, at least 12 people were killed when a mini-bus plunged into a gorge in Poonch.

The arrested militant has been identified as Zaffar Iqbal of Angrala, in Mahore tehsil. Police said that he was in touch with terror groups and a “major tragedy has been averted” following his arrest. (Express)
