Father comforts crying daughter as BTS omits India from 2026 tour: ‘Give me their phone number’

Many fans said the video helped them cope with their own disappointment over the BTS tour, while others praised the bond between the father and his daughter.

Father comforts crying daughter as BTS omits India tourA viral video shows a young Indian BTS fan in tears, explaining to her father that the band will not perform in India.

BTS fans in India were hopeful that 2026 would finally be the year. When the group teased their World Tour 2026, many believed India would at last find a place on the group’s global map, but that hope didn’t last long.

When BTS officially revealed their tour dates on January 14, India was missing. For the Indian ARMY, as BTS fans call themselves, the disappointment cut deep, especially after member V, aka Kim Taehyung, had warmly greeted fans on Weverse last month with, “Namaste Indian ARMY. See you next year.”

As emotions spilled over online, one Instagram video struck a powerful chord. The now-viral clip shows a young Indian fan breaking down in tears after learning that BTS would not be performing in India. When her father asked why she was crying, she explained the situation through sobs.

What followed melted hearts across the internet.

Clearly unfamiliar with BTS or K-pop, the father responded purely as a parent trying to fix his child’s pain. “Give me their phone number; we will make them come,” he said, drawing smiles and laughter from viewers.

When he realised BTS was a South Korean group, he quickly added that they would go to South Korea instead so she could watch the concert.

The moment turned a collective heartbreak into something comforting. Many fans said the video helped them cope with their own disappointment, while others praised the bond between the father and his daughter.

Comments flooded in.

One user wrote, “Indian parents and their urge to fix everything.” Another said, “He is such a pookie father.” A third asked, “Hum ladko ke sath humare baap aise kyun nhi hote” (Why aren’t our fathers like this with us boys?).

Another comment read, “Dad’s are the best. Woh hai toh sab kuch possible hai (If they are there, everything is possible).”

Later that night, BTS’s full lineup, OT7, went live on Weverse to speak directly to fans. During the livestream, they shared updates on their upcoming album, Arirang, and the tour. “We asked our agency to add more venues and cities.”

While no specific locations were confirmed, the statement reignited hope.
