Alphabet CEO backs temporary ban on facial-recognition, Microsoft disagrees

The EU's proposal for a temporary ban on facial-recognition technology won backing from Alphabet Chief Executive Sundar Pichai on Monday but got a cool response from Microsoft President Brad Smith.

The apex court had on October 24 last agreed with the DoT’s definition of AGR, and said that the companies, both telecom and non-telecom, must pay all dues they owe to the government along with interest and penalty.

In a massive data leak, Telnet credentials of over five lakh users have been published online on a hacking forum. The latest Telnet leak seems much bigger and more serious as a lot more credentials have been exposed.
