SDCC to host Apollo Cup
South Delhi Coaching Centre will organise an invitational under-14 inter-school cricket tournament, Apollo Cup, from August 28 at Gyan Bharti School, Saket and at some other school grounds. The tournament will be played on knockout basis. There will be a total of 15 teams including the South Delhi Coaching Centre. All the matches will be of two-days duration with the first innings limited to 60 overs and the second to 35 overs. There will be a total prize money of Rs 40,000.

Jameel wins
Top seeded Jameel Ahmed of Magic Finger Carrom Club and Vijaylaxmi Somanchi retained the men8217;s and women8217;s singles titles espectively in the fourth Al-Quresh Independence Silver Cup carrom Tournament. In men8217;s singles, Jameel defeated third seed J Zahid Multania Club 25-13, 25-11. Four-time national champion Vijaylaxmi also had a smooth win over second seeded Bharti Narayan of LIC 25-7, 25-22. Mohd Nasir Khan Delhi Audit got the third place downing Mehboob saeed Indian Carrom Club 23-7, 21-16 in men8217;s section while Kavita Somanchi downed Rajlaxmi in the women8217;s section 24-11, 18-16.

Radha Kishan cricket
The ninth Radha Kishan Inter-School Cricket Tournament for boys, organised by Cambridge Foundation Senior Secondary School, Rajouri Garden will be held from September 12. Entries close on August 26 with the organising secretary at Tel Nos: 5440590 and 5449005 8 am to 12 noon.
