Jacob & Co
Luxury watchmaker Jacob & Co has unveiled a one-of-a-kind timepiece, the Opera Vantara Green Camo, as a tribute to Vantara, the wildlife rescue and conservation initiative based in Gujarat and led by Anant Ambani, the younger son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani. The watch was introduced on January 21, 2026.
The dial is the centrepiece of the design, featuring a hand-painted miniature figurine of Anant Ambani dressed in a blue floral shirt. Beside him stand intricately crafted sculptures of a lion and a Bengal tiger, symbolising the wildlife protected under the Vantara project.
Staying true to Jacob & Co’s bold design language, the watch features a striking green camouflage motif across the dial and the case. According to the brand’s caption, “At the center of the dial sits a hand-painted figurine of Anant himself, symbolizing stewardship and responsibility.”
Surrounding the scene is a gemstone camouflage pattern composed of demantoid garnets, tsavorites, green sapphires, and white diamonds, totalling 397 stones weighing 21.98 carats.

While watch collectors have admired the craftsmanship, the price tag has sparked lively reactions online.
One user commented, “If I owned one, I would sell it and open a long position in Bitcoin.” Another wrote, “This gotta be best tribute for Animal lovers.”
A humorous reaction in Hindi read, “Itna garib hu yahi nhi pta lgra time kese dekhu isme (I’m so poor that I can’t even figure out how to tell the time on this)”.
Not everyone was impressed, though.
One user said, “Honestly it does not look that detailed. The figures would have been more detailed. It does look like a toy watch.”
