Nominations for V Care awards

V Care, an emotional support group for cancer patients is accepting nominations for the Victor Awards8217; to be presented on Cancer survivor8217;s day8217; 8211; February 12, 2000. Entries should, in 400-500 words, preferably in Hindi/English give details of the patients treatment history, adversities overcome, present activities, and why the person is worthy of emulation.

Student and teacher awards

The Lions Club of Mulund honoured excellent students and teachers from schools in Mulund on Saturday. The Sheth Motibhai Pachan Rashtriya Shala was presented the Lala Ramsaranji Agarwal Memorial Mulund Lion8217;s Shield8217; for being the best school. Trophies were also awarded to 11 schools securing 100 percent results in the SSC March 1998-99 exams. Ten students were awarded scholarships.

Free classes in accupressure

Free training classes in acupressure by Bhagawan Acupressure Service International is being sponsored by Motibai Kasara Bag Trust. NASEOH exhibition

National Society for Equal Opportunities for the Handicapped NASEOH, India, is organising NASEOH Week8217; from September 30 to October 6 during which an exhibition and sale of exotic nursery plants will be held, while 3-day workshops on painting and landscaping will be conducted by Fang Zhi Qiang, artist, and Lu Xiang Gui, landscape expert.
