Rally will be a failure: Deepender

Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda today said that the INLD had 8220;succumbed even before the Lok Sabha elections8221; by joining hands with the BJP. He said the alliance showed how opportunistic the two parties were.

Hooda, who was interacting with media persons at Hisar, said the INLD-BJP was an unsuccessful experiment which had been repeated. 8220;Fed up with the INLD-BJP alliance, the people had rejected them in the last Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections,8221; he said. He said that the INLD and BJP had announced a rally at Sonepat, but the people of the region had no interest in it. The rally was bound to be a big failure, he claimed.

In reply to a question on Haryana Janhit Congress BL, Hooda said HJC leader Kuldeep Bishnoi was confused most of the times. 8220;He had talked of both UP Chief Minister Mayavati and BJP leader Lal Krishan Advani as future prime ministers of the country. He is in the habit of frequently changing his statements,8221; he said.

As for the distribution of tickets for the LS polls, Deepender said it was upto the party high command to decide who would contest and from where. He was prepared to contest again as MP from Rohtak if the party gave him a chance, said Hooda.

He refused to be drawn into any controversy and sidestepped the issue of students elections saying that they were were banned because there were numerous instances of disputes among students.

He also said that he would take up the issue of construction of Agroha railway line with Union Railway Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav.
