PSEB edge past CFHA

In a highly thrilling match, Punjab State Electrical Board PSEB edged out CFH Academy by 2-1 in the 38th SN Vohra8217;s All India Gurmit Memorial Hockey Tournament being played at Sector 42 Hockey Stadium on Sunday.

Displaying an attacking game, players from both the team tried their best to put their respective team in the advantage. However, it was PSEB who broke the deadlock in the 19th minute when shirt number nine Yadwinder Singh converted a penalty corner into goal to send his team into frenzy. Amrik Singh doubled the lead in the 33rd minute when he also scored through a penalty corner. However, Gurjant Singh led CFHA8217;s recovery when he scored a goal and reduced the deficit to 2-1 in the 49th minute. PSEB played a dominating game throughout the match was evident from the fact that PSEB earned seven penalties in reply to nil by CFHA.
