Big win for Don Bosco

NEW DELHI, October 15: Hosts Don Bosco and Carmel Convent School scored big victories over New Green Field School and Modern School Barakhamba, respectively, in the Nike-Don Bosco invitational basketball tournament.

In a totally one-sided match, Don Bosco won 47-16 and Carmel Convent triumphed 49-19. For Donbosco, Anmol 17 and Gaurav 12 scored while Meghna 16 and Prilika 13 were the scorers for Carmel Convent.

In the other matches, Mount St Mary8217;s School defeated New Green Field Saket 57-44, St Columba8217;s won over Rayan International 23-19 and DPS Mathura Road beat Blue Bellks 57-49.

NVS games: Hyderabad region won the overall championship of the IX Navodaya Vidyalaya Schools National Games. Jaipur region got the runners-up title.
