A Bureau official said as of now, the monsoon has set in over Kerala, up to Mangalore. 8220;We are observing satellite charts daily, and from the progress of monsoon in South, its onset over Mumbai could be predicted at around the normal time, around June 10,8221; the officer added. 8220;The change in climate these days is due to a normal condition developed because of extreme heat.
The heat coupled with high humidity in coastal areas cause sudden formation of thunderclouds leading to intermittent showers,8221; he explained.
