
MUMBAI, March 8: People8217;s Vigilance Commission, headed by former supercop J F Ribeiro, has asked the government to lay all documents regarding six major scams exposed in the country since Bofors before the public for scrutiny and threatened to launch a nation-wide satyagraha from August 15 on the issue.
Addressing a joint news conference today, the commission executive member Avinash Dharmadhikari, who resigned IAS to fight against corruption, said a formal letter would be handed over to the Centre next month and it would be given a time of 30 days to comply with the demand of making all documents public on scams including Bofors, hawala, fodder scam in Bihar, securities scam and urea scam.
