Internet connection for GOMCO library soon

PATIALA, Aug 13: The library of the Government Medical College here would soon have an Internet connection to help the students and the faculty members update their knowledge, Dr S.S. Sidhu, Principal of the college, said here today while inaugurating a quiz contest organised by the Department of Paediatrics.

Dr Sidhu said all the indoor wards and Out Patient Departments would also have computer connections for providing better health care facilities to the people.

Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatrics, Dr K.K. Locham, under whose chairmanship the quiz contest was held, said the quiz generated great enthusiasm among MBBS students. A record number of 25 teams participated in the preliminary round of which four teams qualified for the final round held today. The team comprising Sachin Pandove and Deepak Goyal won the contest.
