BCCI decides to keep mum

DEC 23: The Board of Control for Cricket in India BCCI on Saturday refused to brief the media about the outcome of its 8220;Core Group8221; meeting held at the Cricket Club of India CCI here.

The board president Dr A C Muthiah told PTI that there was nothing to give to the media.

8220;It is an informal meeting and we have nothing to give to the press. Even the itinerary for the home series against Australia will be finalised at the working committee meeting to be held at Delhi on January 22, 2001,8221; he added.

The board8217;s secretary, Jaywant Lele, who had said that he would speak to the media on Saturday evening also toed Muthiah8217;s line by saying there is nothing to disclose to the press after the reporters from various National dailies and agencies waited for more than three hours for him to brief them.
