Indian authorities are preparing to bring five African cheetahs from Botswana to India through Project Cheetah. The cheetahs are expected to arrive in January or February and will be taken to either Kuno National Park or Gandhi Sagar sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh. Botswana has also announced the translocation of eight cheetahs and is in talks with Indian officials for a potential partnership.
