‘Not comfortable in a two-piece,’ Kriti Sanon said in resurfaced audition tape from age 22. Watch

An old clip of a 22-year-old Kriti Sanon giving her first audition has resurfaced online. The actor was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s latest film Tere Ishk Mein.

Kriti Sanon was recently in the news for her performance in Aanand L Rai’s latest film Tere Ishk Mein opposite Dhanush. The actor, who made her acting debut in the Telugu film 1: Nenokkadine and her Hindi film debut with Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti (2014), has come a long way in the industry, becoming one of the most sought-after female stars in Bollywood. Recently, an old clip of a 22-year-old Kriti giving her first audition has resurfaced online.

The clip shows Kriti wearing a white one-shoulder dress. She has minimal makeup and is seen confidently introducing herself. She is also seen holding a board with her name, age, height, and other details written on it. In the video, she can be heard saying, “Hi, I am Kriti Sanon, I am 5’9.” She is then asked if she is available on the mentioned audition dates, to which she replies in the affirmative. However, she also mentions that she isn’t comfortable wearing a two-piece. “But I am not comfortable in a two-piece,” she says in the clip. She then goes on to perform a rescue scene, where she is seen shouting for help and waiting for someone to rescue her as she pretends to get choked by smoke.

Fans were quick to praise Kriti in the comments section. One fan wrote, “So fresh and beautiful ❤️ kriti really has the cute girl next door vibe 😄.” Another comment read, “She looks like the most famous and popular girl in college on whom most of the guys have a crush on.”

After making her debut in the hit Heropanti, Kriti struck luck and went on to star in the multi-starrer Dilwale alongside Bollywood’s biggest names — Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Varun Dhawan. She soon cemented her position in the industry and became one of the most sought-after actors after delivering back-to-back hits such as Bareilly Ki Barfi, Luka Chuppi, and Housefull 4.

In 2024, Kriti also turned producer as she bankrolled the Netflix film Do Patti, in which she herself played a double role, while Kajol essayed the role of a cop. She was last seen in Tere Ishk Mein with South star Dhanush. The film turned out to be a box office success, earning over Rs 150 crore worldwide.

Kriti will next be seen in the highly anticipated Cocktail 2. The film also stars Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles and is directed by Homi Adajania. Apart from acting, Kriti has also ventured into entrepreneurship. She founded her skincare brand Hyphen and co-founded The Tribe India, a premium fitness and training studio.
