A US national living in New Delhi recently praised Blinkit’s ultra-fast delivery service, leaving international users stunned. Sharing an Instagram Reel, Charlie Evans documented the short time the delivery agent took to deliver a mineral water can and a screwdriver.

In the video, Evans says that he placed his order on the quick-commerce platform at 5.43 pm. “Alright guys, it’s 5:43 and I just ordered Blinkit. I’m showing my USA friends how quick this app and service is,” he says. He explains that Blinkit functions as a one-stop platform for last-minute needs and is not restricted to groceries alone.

Evans goes on to explain that the app delivers a wide range of products, from daily essentials to larger items such as washing machines, espresso machines, and even clothing—all within minutes.

As he waits for his order, he repeatedly checks the time to highlight how recently the order was placed. Tracking the delivery in real time, he expresses surprise at the logistics involved. “They get here super quick, and I have no idea how they find the building,” he says, adding that navigation is often the only factor that slightly slows deliveries.

He even wonders aloud whether the delivery partner has already arrived outside. Once the order is delivered, Evans shares, “That was quick. So six minutes for water and a screwdriver.”

Sharing the video, Evans wrote, “Blinkit is god.”

With over two lakh views, the video has prompted a wave of reactions. “Ppl in the west don’t realise what a luxurious life we live in india. we have a guy for everything and a guy for a guy as well,” an Instagram user wrote. “Sometimes it feels like the delivery guy was already standing downstairs, and the moment we placed the order, he came straight up to deliver it to our room,” another user commented.

“We are so spoiled by these quick commerce apps that we feel so inconvenient to live in the western countries,” a third user reacted.

Aam Aadmi Party leader and MP Raghav Chadha recently called for a ban on quick-commerce platforms such as Instamart, Blinkit, and Zepto, which offer delivery within 10 minutes. Chadha advocated for gig workers, highlighting poor work conditions and low income.
