One more pilot held for forging test result

A 25-year-old pilot was arrested from Gurgaon for submitting a forged result card of the Commercial Pilot Licence.

A 25-year-old pilot was arrested from Gurgaon on Monday for submitting a forged result card of the Commercial Pilot Licence CPL test to obtain a licence from the airline regulator,police said.

Two more pilots are wanted for forging their result cards,police said. They are also looking for a middleman who helped them forge the results.

On Friday,the Directorate General of Civil Aviation DGCA had lodged a complaint with the Crime Branch in this regard. The DGCA said during an internal inquiry,they found that two pilots had submitted forged result cards of the commercial pilot examination to get licences.

The two pilots were identified as Gaurav Jain licence number 9896 and Abhishek Kaushik 8935.

Kaushik was arrested from his Gurgaon residence on Monday and is currently not employed with any airline.

Jain,who is is yet to be arrested,belongs to Madhya Pradesh,the police said.

This scam is different from the one we had earlier busted. This is a separate group of touts and pilots who forged marksheets to obtain commercial pilots licences, said Ashok Chand,Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime.

The police had earlier arrested seven people,including four pilots,for allegedly procuring Airlines Transport Pilot Licences ATPL using forged result cards.
