WILO opens manufacturing facility in Kolhapur

A state-of-the-art manufacturing facility covering over 6,000 sq metres to manufacture latest range of high efficiency products of WILO was inaugurated in Kolhapur on Friday.

Dr Jochen Oplender,chairman emeritus of WILO SE,accompanied by members of WILO supervisory board and executive board,inaugurated the factory. The factory is state-of-the-art facility to manufacture water handling pumps and pumping systems. This factory has been designed keeping in mind the most stringent environment friendly norms and WILO is applying for gold certified green building for the plant.

To meet the growth needs WILO is investing in infrastructure,technology up gradation and plant and machinery at its manufacturing facilities at Pune and Kolhapur. WILO plans to invest over Rs 200 crore in next five years to create job opportunity for 1,000 skilled and semi-skilled workers by 2015.

WILO SE is the world’s sixth largest pump and pumping system manufacturer. In India,WILO operates through its subsidiary Mather and Platt Pumps Ltd at Chinchwad.
