SP again changes candidates

Even at the eleventh hour,Samajwadi Party is busy revising its list of candidates for the upcoming polls.

Even at the eleventh hour,Samajwadi Party is busy revising its list of candidates for the upcoming polls. On Monday,party state president Akhilesh Yadav changed the candidates of four constituencies. He also declared the last pending ticket of Samajwadi Party.

Yadav declared Ahtesham Ahmad Zaidi as the candidate from Pratapgarh’s Rampur Khas constituency whereas from Kunda constituency of Pratapgarh,SP will support Raja Bhaiya. With this,Samajwadi Party has declared candidates for 402 constituencies in the state.

Within a day of changing the candidate from Kanpur’s Ghatampur constituency,Yadav again returned the ticket to Indrajit Kori. Kori’s name was changed on Sunday,when Akhilesh had decided to field Somvati Shankhwar from the seat.

Yadav also changed the party’s candidate from Mathura and Baldev constituency in Mathura district. From Baldev,the party has dropped the name of Rajkumar Nat and instead fielded former district president Anil Divakar. From Mathura,Dr Ashok Agarwal has been fielded by the party instead of Rajesh Saini,who was earlier fielded by the party. From Aligarh’s Khair constituency,Prashant Valmiki’s ticket has been cancelled and Gurbind Khatik has been instead fielded by the party.
