Select pulses down on sluggish demand

Adequate stocks position mainly led to a fall in wholesale select pulses.

Select pulses fell by up to Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market following subdued demand against adequate supplies.

Marketmen said sluggish demand at prevailing higher levels and adequate stocks position mainly led to a fall in wholesale select pulses.

In the national capital,lobia fell by Rs 200 to Rs 4,400-5,100 and moth eased to Rs 3,700-3,900 against last close of Rs 3,700-4,100 per quintal,respectively.

Malka local and best quality also traded lower at Rs 4,400-4,500 and Rs 4,600-4,700 against last close of Rs 4,525-4,575 and Rs 4,725-4,825 per quintal,respectively.

The following are today8217;s pulses rates per quintal: Urad 3,900-4,600,Urad Chilka local 4,800-5,100,best 5,350-5,850,Dhoya 5,900-6,000,Moong 5,000-5,800,Dal Moong Chilka local 5,450-5,850,Moong Dhoya local 5,950-6,050 and best quality 6,650-6,750.

Masoor small 3,900-4,100,bold 4,000-4,250,Dal Masoor local 4,800-4,900,best quality 4,900-5,000,Malka local 4,400-4,500,best 4,600-4,700,Moth 3,700-3,900,Arhar 4,200-4,700,Dal Arhar Dara 5,800-6,000.

Gram 4,650-5,500,Gram Dal local 5,600-5,700,best quality 5,800-5,900,Besan 35 kg Shakti bhog 2,250,Rajdhani 2,250,Rajmah Chitra 7,000-8,900,Kabli Gram small 5,000-8,200,dabra 2,700-2,800,imported 4,700-5,100; Lobia 4,400-5,100,Peas white 3,050-3,100 and green 3,150-3,200.
