In the middle of blaring horns and fast-moving traffic, an act of kindness quietly unfolded when a Zomato delivery rider chose compassion over convenience.

A video circulating on Instagram describes how Dev, a delivery executive, stepped in to save a tiny puppy that had strayed onto a busy road. The incident reportedly took place on January 17. In the clip, Dev explains how the visibly scared pup was darting between vehicles, coming dangerously close to being hit. Realising the urgency of the situation, he didn’t hesitate.

Rather than walking away or waiting for someone else to act, Dev gently picked up the puppy and moved it out of harm’s way. The moment that truly melted hearts came next — the little dog, later named Duggu, sitting peacefully inside Dev’s red Zomato delivery bag, its curious eyes peeking out as if it knew it was finally safe.

The clip quickly gained traction, crossing 1.1 million views within days. Social media users poured in with praise, calling Dev’s act a simple yet powerful example of kindness in everyday life.

Singer Jasleen Matharu commented, “God bless you.. is duniya ko aap jaise pyaare logo ki zarurat hai” (God bless you, the world needs kind people like you). Another user wrote, “Ye duggu aapki life badal dega he is pure blessing from GOD” (This Duggu will change your life, he is a pure blessing from God).

One comment that stood out read, “Zomato might have a red logo, but bro is a green flag.” Another humorously added, “Men can find bros anywhere on this earth.”
