Class X student held for guard8217;s murder

Police said the 16-year-old boy,who stayed in the school hostel, was involved in the murder of Rajvir.

The Uttar Pradesh Police Sunday arrested a Class X student of a BJP leaders school in Mathura,a day after a 30-year-old security guard was found murdered on the school premises and the minor daughter of the owner was found missing.

Police said the 16-year-old boy,who stayed in the school hostel, was involved in the murder of Rajvir whose charred body was found on the school premises Saturday. They said the student, along with his 21-year-old friend Deepak,a dropout from the same school, killed the

30-year-old security guard around 3 am on Saturday.

Mathura Additional SPCity Omvir Singh said the 15-year-old daughter of the school owner, who was found missing from the room where she was sleeping with her two elder sisters, allegedly eloped with Deepak with whom she had an affair.

Singh said the student arrested by the police, had lent a SIM card to the girl. They had also exchanged SMSes on the night before the murder.

He said Deepak, who had dropped out after he failed his class XII exam, had been visiting the premises frequently to meet the girl and his friend.

Singh said Deepak and the 16-year-old boy murdered the security guard with a motive to confuse people. They thought they will burn Rajvirs body and people will think that the girl has been killed by the security guard and he has escaped, Singh said, adding that police teams are searching for Deepak and the girl.

Deepak and the 16-year-old boy attacked Ranvir with bricks, strangled him with an iron chain and then burnt his body after pouring kerosene oil on it,Srivastava said.
