Musharraf knew of plot to kill Bhutto
Islamabad: Pervez Musharraf knew in advance that then Tehrik-e-Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud was plotting the assassination of ex-premier Benazir Bhutto but withheld the information from security agencies,Dawn News channel quoted its sources in the FIA as saying.
2 men killed by Davis worked for ISI
ISLAMABAD: The two men killed by US national Raymond Davis in Lahore were working for ISI which was tailing Davis because he was spying and encroaching on their turf, four Pakistani officials were quoted as saying by ABC News. The two men were sent to track Davis by the ISI,which believed that he had crossed a red line. PTI
6 killed as plane crashes in Ireland
DUBLIN: A small commuter aircraft carrying 12 people crashed and caught fire Thursday while trying to land in heavy fog at Cork Airport in southwest Ireland,killing at least six people,authorities said. The Irish Aviation Authority responsible for running the airport said the fog was so thick that air traffic controllers in a nearby tower could not see the crash,only hear it.
Korea talks breakdown in exchange of blame
SEOUL: North and South Korea traded blame on Thursday for the breakdown of military talks as a stalemate emerged over the starting point for negotiations. North Korea said it would not take part as long as the South did not want to improve ties. South Korea said the North had to acknowledge its role in two attacks last year which killed 50 people.
