
CHANDIGARH, May 13: A three-day-long cleanliness drive and Shramdan Week at the Ambala Cantonment was inaugurated by Lt Gen G.S. Sihota, GOC 2 Corps at the Army School, Ambala, today.
The drive began with Gen Sihota planting a tree in the Army School, while Brig Satnam Singh, Station Commander Ambala, broomed the area, an official release stated. The drive is slated to go on till May 15.
Official sources said that the modalities for carrying out a similar drive in the whole of Ambala were being worked out with the district administration.
