Olympian footballer and Padmashree, Pradip Banerjee, had a scare today, following a mild cerebral attack in the wee hours. However, after initial worries, Banerjee has somewhat pulled through, although he is under constant observation in the ICU at a city nursing home.

Banerjee, who turned 70 on June 23, is 8220;out of danger8221; at this point, according to doctors Abhijit Ghosh and Manoj Saha attending to him. The former India skipper suffered the attack while going through the morning newspapers.

After the sudden attack, the right side of Banerjee8217;s body went into a temporary paralysis. He, however, managed to call up his doctors, following which he was soon rushed to the nursing home. Stressing that he is out of danger, the two doctors recommended that Banerjee shouldn8217;t exert himself physically from now on.
