  • The Election Commission of India has announced January 28 as the date for the election notification.

    • The last date for filing nominations is February 4 and for withdrawing candidature is February 7.

    Medical camp

  • A free diabetis, acupuncture and blood donation camp will be held on January 8 at Gurbaxani hospital, Colaba to commemorate its golden jubilee year.

    • The programme will be held from 10.30 am-1.30 pm.

    Scheme

  • The Mumbai Housing and Area Development Board has announced a scheme for allotment of tenements under different income groups in various parts of the city.

    • The results of lots, which were drawn on a computer on January 2, have been displayed on the notice board of Grihanirman Bhavan, Bandra.

    Programme

  • The Bombay Obsteric and Gynaecology Society will conduct a finance management programme for its members on January 18 at Hotel President.

    • Topics such as personal financial planning, investment inmutual funds and equipment and clinical financing will be covered.

    Appointed

  • Dr Krishnakant B Bhargava, ENT surgeon, will be appointed president of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India at its golden jubilee conference in New Delhi later this month. He is Head of the ENT department at the Sion hospital.
