Britain: No changes in visa rules

On Thursday, Britain said no changes had been effected in its visa rules, denying a media report that the checks would get tougher in the wake of two Indians being held as suspects in two terror plots.

On Thursday, Britain said no changes had been effected in its visa rules, denying a media report that the checks would get tougher in the wake of two Indians being held as suspects in two terror plots.

8220;We have a very robust system for checking visa applications and no changes have been brought in following the

recent events in the UK,8221; the British High Commission said in a statement here.

The High Commission8217;s clarification came in response to a media report which suggested that visa rules could get tougher in Britain in the aftermath of two Indians being held for failed bombings in London and Glasgow.

Indian engineer Kafeel Ahmed and his doctor brother Sabeel are being held in Britain for their suspected involvement in the failed terror attacks.
