Auto driver arrested for molesting minor

The city police have arrested an autorickshaw driver for allegedly molesting a five-year-old girl at Kasewadi in Bhavani Peth on Sunday. Police have identified the suspect as Raju Loknath Acharya (42),a resident of Kasewadi. Victim’s mother lodged a complaint at Khadak police station.

Police said Acharya called the girl,reportedly staying in his neighbourhood,to his autorickshaw and allegedly molested her around 7 pm.

Police have booked the suspect under Section 354 (molestation) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from the Sexual Offences Act.
