On Thursday, Sattari and Bicholim in North Goa and Dharbandora in South Goa appeared to be the worst-hit. But by Friday afternoon, the damage assessment showed that Ponda in South Goa was also among the worst-affected talukas.
Another train, Hazrat Nizamuddin-Vasco da Gama Express, was also stopped in its tracks between Caranzol and Dudhsagar owing to a landslide.

The National Green Tribunal had, last month, ordered the Goa government to hold fresh public hearings after the Goa Foundation had moved the NGT against the alleged deficiencies in the conduct of public hearings held by the state government on March 7.
The Sanatan Sanstha had moved the court challenging the blocking of the three pages, two of which were created in 2011 and one in 2013.

In his petition, Girish Chodankar urged the court to set aside the order passed by Speaker Rajesh Patnekar and disqualify the ten Congress MLAs who defected to the BJP in 2019.
Earlier, Pangam told the court that the drug was in use for over a year and he had himself been consuming it and assured the court that there had been no side effects.
