BJP stages scooter rally
The city unit of the BJP on Sunday took out a scooter rally through the main thoroughfares of the city to condemn the protest lodged by the Congress and the Left parties against the imposition of President8217;s rule in Bihar. The programme was organised as part of a national-level agitation.

Planet viewing
A program was organised by Samanvaya8217; under the Campus Diversity Program to view Jupiter, Saturn, Venus and the Orion Nebula through the Physics department8217;s 10-foot long telescope. Jupiter and Saturn will remain invisible from here till December 1999. More than 100 people attended the show. Jupiter and four of its planets were clearly visible, as were Saturn and its famed rings.

Meeting held
A meeting of the Gujarat chapter of the Travel Agents Association of India was held in Vadodara on Sunday at the Welcom Group Hotel. The meeting was attended by office-bearers and members of the TAAI, including prominent travel agents and known persons associated with travel trade in the State.

New batch
The 26th batch of the Indian Institute of Export8217;s Post-Graduate diploma course in export-import trade management will begin on May 3. It will be a four-month course and classes will be run in the evenings. It will be held at the IIE office at 101, Prestige Complex, opposite Suraj Plaza in Sayajigunj area. Exhibition
Ramesh date, a sculptor from Mumbai, who makes sculptures out of bamboo sticks, will be displaying his works at an exhibition to be held from March 10 to 14 at Hotel Welcom Group.
