MUMBAI, SEPTEMBER 24: Reena Salian stole the thunder in the MSSA-Colgate Inter-School Football Tournament games, on Sunday. She achieved a rare double hat-trick when she scored all seven goals as her school St Joseph’s (Vikhroli) whipped St Xavier’s (Andheri) 7-1 in a girls under-16 quarter-final clash at the MSSA-Castrol Schools Sports Centre ground, Azad Maidan.

Underdogs Central Railway held fancied Air-India 1-1 in a MDFA Harwood Super Football League encounter at the Cooperage, on Sunday.

Asif Jamal scored for the railwaymen and Osborn D’Souza accounted for Air-India.

Earlier in the Senior Division League tie, Bombay Muslims scored a comfortable 2-0 victory over Bad Boys. Asif Ansari and Mohammed Amin were the goal-getters for Muslims.

Brace by Rivelino
A Brace of goals by Rivelino Fernandes was the highlight of Khalsa Gymkhana `A’s easy 3-0 triumph over Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board (Andheri) in the MDFA Division I-B Football League at the St Xavier’s ground, Parel, on Sunday. Marlon Pinto was the other goal-getter for Khalsa.

Double for Joseph’s
St Joseph’s, Juhu, won the team championships in both the boys as well as the girls’ sections in the 10th Joe Crasto Memorial Beach Run, conducted by the United Athletes Sports Club in memory of their late founder-president, at Juhu Beach early on Sunday morning.

Running on home turf, the local school, coached by Central Railway’s Simon D’Souza, logged 79 points in the girls’ section and 96 points in the boys section to emerge comfortable winners of both titles.
