
COLOMBO, Jan 24: Sri Lanka took the three-match one-day series against Zimbabwe with a five-wicket win in the second match at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today.
Needing 212 for victory, the host team romped home in the 49th over after openers Sanat Jayasuriya 50 and Marvan Atapattu 45 produced 76 runs in 18.2 overs. Sri Lanka took an unassailable 2-0 lead.
Murray Goodwin, earlier in the day, hit his maiden ton in One-day cricket in only his second match to push Zimbabwe to 212 after his side won the toss and decided to bat first.
Goodwin came to the crease with Zimbabwe on three for one in the first over and reached his century in the 47th over.
