A night to remember
It’s Oscar time again. In the days leading to D-Day on Monday,Star Movies has arranged a string of goodies including a half hour special where anchor Rajiv Masand will take the viewers through the most promising nominees of 2010. The ceremony will be hosted by actors Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. And if you’re not a movie buff, you can still watch for the obsequious air kisses, the red carpet gowns, and the droll acceptance speeches. And then for the coup de grace: Look out for the scathing digs that the dynamic combo of Martin and Baldwin are sure to shell out.

Talent hunt
America’s Got Talent is coming to India. Vh1 brings the latest season of the talent show hosted by Jerry Springer with celebrity judges Sharon Osborne,David Hasselhoff and Piers Morgan. With Indian audiences already adept with the desi version, let’s wait and watch if the original grabs as many eyeballs.

Marital discord
The plot is thickening in Star Plus’s Tere Mere Sapne. Sarju (Yash Pandit) who saved Kalua (Shashi Ranjan) from a false case of drug smuggling had lied to Kamya (Parull Chaudhry) that he’s unmarried. When Radha (Ekta Tiwari) suspects her husband of cheating, she does what any respectable woman would: go chasing after her husband. When she meets Sarju,he finally tells her about his unmarried status in the legal contract that he has signed to save his friend’s life. Hmmm,we wonder if that will douse the fire of Radha’s anger. We Indian women don’t take kindly to husbands who ruthlessly extinguish our existences on legal contracts.
