DSP murder: Bullet head recovered

The CBI Monday recovered the head of the bullet which passed through deputy SP Ziaul Haque’s body after he was shot on March 2. The recovery was made from slain pradhan Nanhey Yadav’s house at Balipur village following information gathered from pradhan’s brothers Phoolchand and Pawan,who are undergoing interrogation in CBI’s custody,sources confirmed.

The CBI had arrested the pradhan’s brothers,his son and an associate,Manjit Yadav,in the deputy SP murder case last week.

The investigating agency had yet to receive the empty shell related to Haque’s murder. The sources said that during interrogation pradhan’s brothers revealed that they had turned deputy SP’s body to find the head of the bullet after he was shot dead. They had taken it with them in attempt to conceal the evidence,sources added. The CBI will be sending the head of the bullet to ballistic experts to find out if the same was part of the bullet which hit Haque.
