Delhi University is the country’s only violator of radioactive waste disposal norms,according to the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board. “There are no reported cases of disposal of radioactive material violating the ‘Atomic Energy (safe disposal of radioactive waste) Rules,1987,’ except the Gamma Cell which was auctioned by Delhi University,” the AERB said in an RTI reply. Cabinet to decide on auto fares today
The Delhi Cabinet will on Monday consider a report by the Transport department which favours an increase in the fare structure of auto-rickshaws and taxis in the Capital. The Transport department move comes after auto-rickshaw unions threatened to go on a strike last month after the Centre decided to hike the CNG rate. The CNG rate in Delhi has gone up by Rs 5.60 per kg from Rs 21.90 to Rs 27.50 per kg.

By Sept Gurgaon will have full sewage system
Despite the crores of rupees spent on laying sewer lines and maintaining existing ones,the drainage system in Gurgaon still falls woefully short. Now,with the Punjab and Haryana High Court vacating the stay on the final portion of the sewage line linking to a new treatment plant,most parts of Millennium City will be able to use the city sewage system instead of depending on septic tanks.
