Second Research Day observed at PGIMER

In addition to the general open category,research papers were also presented in three special categories of tuberculosis,hypertension,innovation and collaborative group research.

About 33 members of the faculty were honoured with certificates of appreciation based on the quality and the impact of their research publications.

At the end there was an open house,which deliberated on assured promotion and its effect on quality research,scope of having chairs for research,quality versus quantity of publications and the need for translation of research findings into a marketable product through forming a patent cell and tech-transfer unit at the institute.

Three eminent research scientists Professor N K Ganguly,Biotechnology fellow and advisor,Translational Health Science and Tech Institute,Professor Arun Grover,Vice-Chancellor,Panjab University and Prof. Girish Sahni,Director,Institute of Microbial Technology addressed the faculty and the students.
