Police valedictory function held at Sector 26

Unarmed Combat (UAC) is the mixture of different martial arts like boxing,kickboxing,judo,karate,to tackle enemies without arms and weapons only with the help of our hands,legs as a weapon. This art not only teach about fighting but also about defense exercises to tackle big and strong enemy.

This was the second Unarmed Combat (UAC) Summer Camp which was scheduled from June 7 to July 7,2010. The camp was organised for the wards of police personnel of Chandigarh Police in the Police Lines Ground,Sec-26,Chandigarh,for their physical fitness and to learn defence exercises for one-hour daily except Sunday. Children below the age group of 15 years participated and total number of 55 children participated in this camp and out of these,36 candidates appeared before the final test conducted by three jury member of DSP-rank level officers. Last year,total members of 35 candidates had participated in the UAC Summer Camp.

Children were taught about use of fists,legs and defense exercise/arts to handle any critical situation if arrives. During the Camp period,three Inspectors renowned in various games,motivated participants about rules,importance of discipline,results of misuse of learnt exercises and manners/ethics related to martial art.
