Match-fixing between AAP,Cong: BJP

Congress said it was not unduly worried with AAPs Lok Sabha ambitions.

Hours after the AAP announced its plans for the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP alleged that there was match-fixing between the Congress and Arvind Kejriwals party. On the other hand, the Congress said it was not unduly worried with AAPs Lok Sabha ambitions and did not consider Kejriwal a threat.

BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said AAP had struck an alliance because they realised they did not have the required ammunition to take on the BJP. They know Narendra Modi will unfurl the Tricolour at Red Fort this Independence Day. Moreover, people are fast losing their trust in AAP. Their views have changed not in days but in hours, he said.

He said Kejriwal had claimed that he would put Sheila Dikshit in handcuffs if he came to power, moreover Sushil Kumar Shinde had announced that the central government would investigate the foreign funding of AAP. But both have fallen silent after their alliance,he said.

In his reaction,AICC general secretary in charge of Delhi Shakeel Ahmed said the Congress was not worried about AAPs Lok Sabha plans. Everyone in a democracy has the right to contest elections. Everyone can dream of being a PM. But things are very different in a state election and in a national election, he said.
