Thiruvananthapuram-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express train launch: Kerala is set to get a new Amrit Bharat Express train on Thiruvananthapuram-Charlapalli route. This new train will strengthen connectivity between Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It will facilitate economical, faster connectivity for common citizens especially, students, professionals, and traders, connecting major economic, cultural and pilgrimage centres enroute. This train will be operated and maintained by the Southern Railway zone.
The Thiruvananthapuram North-Charlapalli-Thiruvananthapuram North Amrit Bharat Express will operate as train number 17042/17041. The train will run via Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town.
During its journey between Thiruvananthapuram North and Charlapalli, this new Amrit Bharat Express train will halt at 29 stations. These are: Varkala Shivagiri, Kollam, Karunagappalli, Kayamkulam, Mavelikara, Chenhannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tirppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Tiruttani, Renigunta, Nellore, Ongole, Bapatla, Tenali, Guntur, Sattenapalle, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda.
The Thiruvananthapuram North-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express will run as a weekly service. The train will run from Thiruvananthapuram North every Wednesday while from Charlapalli, it will depart every Tuesday.

In the return direction, train number 17041 Charlapalli-Thiruvananthapuram North Amrit Bharat Express will depart Charlapalli at 07:15 hrs hrs on Tuesday to reach Thiruvananthapuram North at 14:45 hrs on Wednesday.
