2G: Raja ex-aide blames him

Aseervatham Achary,A Rajas former aide,on Monday told a Delhi court that the former telecom minister was in touch with Swan Telecom promoters Shahid Usman Balwa and Vinod Goenka and Unitech MD Sanjay Chandra and had cleared their projects during his stint with Ministry of Environment and Forests.

As far as Unitech is concerned,Sanjay Chandra and as far as DB Realty is concerned,Shahid Balwa and Vinod Goenka used to follow up. They used to meet A Raja and R K Chandolia on regular basis to pursue their cases in MoEF, he said.

Achary began deposing before the special CBI court as a crucial prosecution witness in the 2G spectrum case on Monday. He was cross-examined by Kanimozhis counsel Ram Jethmalani.

CBI court defers Chandra plea

The special CBI court hearing the 2G case on Monday reserved its order on Unitech Wireless Managing Director Sanjay Chandra plea to go to Singapore. The court will pronounce its order on Tuesday on whether Chandra can go with his nine-year-old son.
