
VADODARA, Sept 30: Reacting to criticism by Dardi Suraksha Samiti, the authorities at Sir Sayaji General SSG Hospital on Thursday said the hospital was doing its best to provide proper medical facilities despite the deluge of patients.
8220;Problems will crop up when lakhs of patients come to the hospital. But still we are trying our best to provide better facilities,8221; said hospital superintendent Dr Kamal Pathak. He said the hospital was under tremendous pressure with 4.5 lakh Out Patient Department OPD and 50,000 Indoor patients visiting the hospital every year.
He admitted that at times cleanliness in the hospital could come in for criticism, but added that even attendants of the patients contribute to the mess. Dr Pathak denied Samiti8217;s allegation that only two X-Rays were done per day in the hospital.
