
3 injured in wall collapse
The accident occurred at around 4 pm when the front portion of Parekh Hall on Jitendra Road was being repaired. A large portion of a slab came down crashing suddenly, injuring the labourers . The injured have been identified as B Shankar 28, Shankar 27 and Bhumanna 22. The cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained, said the police. A resident said the injured were rushed to the nearby Ashoka Nursing Home, but after being refused admission, were taken to Bhagwati Hospital. Sources said medical examinations were being conducted to confirm the nature of injuries, particularly of the head.
Vendor knifed to death
According to the police,Mahendra Yadav 22 was stabbed with gupti8216; and daggers around 9 am in front of Amruta Medical Store on 90 ft Road at Dharavi by one Akram and his two associates. Yadav was walking along the road when the trio ambushed him and inflicted grievous injuries on his chest and abdomen, the police added.
