Farming has become knowledge intensive: Expert

The PAU in collaboration with ATMA Project,Tapi (Gujarat) organised a three- day training programme at Kairon Kisan Ghar.

The PAU in collaboration with ATMA Project,Tapi (Gujarat) organised a three- day training programme at Kairon Kisan Ghar. Inaugurating the course,the Director of Extension Education,Dr M.S. Gill said that the farming of today had become knowledge intensive. He said that the farmers must keep themselves abreast with the new technologies and follow the recommendations of PAU. He said that PAU scientists had developed technologies keeping in view the emerging needs. Dr JS Chawala discussed the role of new varieties in the profitable farming. Dr SPS Brar informed the trainees about the importance of hybrid seeds and baby corns.
