Prison minister given additional charge

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has given additional charge of Food and Civil Supplies Department to Prison Minister Rajendra Choudhary on Monday. Choudhary was sworn in as cabinet minister on February 7 and was allotted Prison Department. The Food and Civil Supplies Department were kept by Akhilesh under him after the resignation of Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya from the ministry on March 4. Raja Bhaiyya had to resign after he was named in the FIR filed by Parveen Azad,the widow of slain Circle Officer Ziaul Haque in Kunda,Pratapgarh.
