The video shows around 12 students, purportedly cooking non-vegetarian food in the hostel and consuming alcohol at MM Hall.  In the video, the students are seen also dancing to a song .  After the video was widely circulated on social media, the university set up an inquiry.

The ED arrested Bhattacharya on October 11, following which the Special Court remanded him in ED custody for 14 days.

“As per our records, 41 students from the Allen coaching center were diagnosed with liver ailment due to contaminated water. One of the students died while six are presently admitted in three private hospitals," said Dr Jagdish Soni, Kota chief medical and health officer (CMHO)

On Wednesday, the Moradabad police reached Bharatpur village in Udham Singh Nagar while chasing Jaffar who is accused of illegal sand mining. A clash took place when the Moradabad police entered a house in which Jaffar allegedly took shelter.
