If a student has objection(s) related to the marks awarded to them, they can make a written complaint to their respective schools stating the issue in detail. Schools need to look into the issue in detail and only send valid complaints to the CISCE board. For all such requests, schools need to mail to the board at asicse@cisce.org for class 10 and asisc@cisce.org for class 12. All such requests should be sent to the board latest by August 1.

This year, the Council did not conduct ICSE and ISC examinations due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and thus results for the students are formed on the basis of an alternative pattern of assessment. Therefore, recheck of answer sheets will not be applicable this year as the candidates have been awarded imputed marks.
Last year, the Council saw 2.07 lakh students appearing for the Class 10 ICSE examinations. Of these students, 2.06 lakh passed the examination. The pass percentage for 2020 was 99.33 per cent.

In India, the Southern region has the best pass percentage i.e. 100.00 per cent in CISCE ICSE 10th Result 2021, followed by the Western region having a pass percentage of 99.99 per cent. The Southern region also has the highest percentage of girls i.e. 50.02 per cent, who had appeared in the ICSE examination.

The region-wise pass percentage for CISCE ISC 12th Result 2021 is as follows -- North (99.75 per cent), East (99.70 per cent), West (99.91 per cent), South (99.91 per cent) and Foreign (100.00 per cent).
A total of 4401Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates took the examination achieving a pass percentage of 99.61 per cent, 3399 Scheduled Tribe (ST) appeared for examination with a pass percentage of 99.71 per cent and 15349 candidates from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category took the exam achieving a pass percentage of 99.80 per cent. Candidates with Learning difficulty (Dyslexia etc) cases were 167 (24 candidates obtained above 90%). Visually challenged cases were 15 (4 candidates obtained above 90%).
A total of 11,934 Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates took the examination achieving a pass percentage of 99.97 per cent, 7326 Scheduled Tribe (ST) appeared for examination with a pass percentage of 100.00 per cent and 47,294 candidates from Other Backward Classes (OBC) category took the exam achieving a pass percentage of 99.98 per cent. Candidates with Learning difficulty (Dyslexia etc) cases were 946 (183 candidates obtained above 90%) and visually challenged cases were 22 (11 candidates obtained above 90%).
The region-wise pass percentage is as follows -- North (99.97 per cent), East (99.98 per cent), West (99.99 per cent), South (100 per cent) and Foreign (100.00 per cent).
A total of 94,011candidates appeared for ISC Class 12 this year. Of out which, 50,459 are boys 43,552 are girls. The pass percentage for CISCE ISC 12th this year is 99.76 per cent. Girls have achieved a pass percentage of 99.86 per cent while boys have achieved a pass percentage of 99.66 per cent.
A total of 219,499 candidates appeared for the ICSE board exams. Of which, 118,846 are boys and 100,653 are girls. 99.98% candidates clear CISCE ICSE Class10th this year. Both, girls and boys have achieved a pass percentage of 99.98 per cent.

The pass percentage of class 10 was recorded at 99.33 per cent in 2020, which was an increase from 98.54 per cent lin 2019. For class 12, as many as 96.84 per cent of students cleared the exam, a slight hike from 96.52 per cent in 2019. Of the 2,07,902 candidates who appeared for the ICSE exam in 2020, as many as 1,377 were declared unsuccessful. For ISC, the result was even worse, as many as 2,798 students out of 88,409 had failed the exams.

For calculating the results of ISC (Class 12) students, the council will consider the average marks scored in various subjects in classes 11 and 12, for theory marks. The practical scores of class 12 will also be added. Besides, best of four marks in class 10 will also be added.

A special marking scheme was used to calculate marks. For subjects for which exams were not held, marks were given on the basis of internal assessment and the best of three. The three highest-scoring subjects (for which the exam has taken place) were counted while the internal assessment of the papers which can also include project work will also be added. The weightage of 70:30 will be given to both the marking schemes, respectively.
The CISCE had eight papers left for class 12 and six for class 10 when the government asked all school boards to postpone the exams. The students were evaluated on their performance in school assessment but were also given the opportunity to appear for the cancelled exams at a later date.

More boys appeared for both ICSE and ISC exams. For ICSE, as many as 54.19 per cent of students who appeared for the exam in 2020 were boys while 45.81 per cent were girls. For ISC too, 53.65 per cent of students who appeared for the exam in 2020 were boys and 46.35 per cent girls.
To be considered passed, students have to get at least 35 per cent marks in each subject. Most of the students who appear for the ICSE and ISC — class 10 and 12 — exams under the CISCE board pass it. The pass percentage for ICSE or class 10 in 2020 was observed as 98.54 per cent last year while for that of class 12 or ISC, the pass percentage was 96.52 per cent.
