Philosophical drama
Charshe Koti Visarbhole (Four Billion Forgetfuls) a play by writer Makrand Sathe will be staged at Sudarshan Rangmanch today at 7.30 pm. The play is a fantasy depicting conditions as they might be in the year 3985 AD. It operates simultaneously on many levels. On the surface,it is a science fiction telling us about time when life has become a medium of exchange. On the second level it is a political satire on the all-encompassing nature of ruthless competition and market in the present era of late capitalism. Directed by Mohit Takalkar,the play on the third level tries to deal philosophically with concepts like time,space,immortality and so on thus finally touching upon the absurdity of human existence.

Pune fashionistas had a gala time as Glamoria,the Spring Summer Fashion Fiesta was held last week at the Lifestyle Store,Kalyani Nagar. Put together by Milestone Entertainment and choreographed by the fashion choreographer and stylist Sandeep Dharma,the fashion show saw some well-known faces from the glamour world,including Manasi Dekhate,Nishita Motiwalla,Jasmeet Mathru,Kriti Kapoor,Shweta Parmar,Aubaid Wani,Nitin Phand and Sufzal Saleem walk the ramp,showcasing the latest in fashion. The highlights of the show,which was compered by Neelam Nagrani were two contemporary sequences put together by Dharma and a kids’ fashion show.
