Viva Mexicana!
In yet another food festival conjured up by chefs at Le Meridien, the Indian fondness for Mexican food has been explored. The Mexican food festival will be on between January 16 and 25 from 7 to 11.30 pm at La Brasserie. A heady mix of flavours, colours and a variety of spices, the occasion will have an exotic buffet spread consisting of live stations and capturing fully the tastes, colours, flavours and aromas of Mexico. Adding rhythm and beat to the experience will be the singing duo of Willy and Fortuna. A fun and fiesta feel is an essential part of the festival and this is evident as soon as you enter La Brasserie, that’s been dressed up with Mexican flamboyance and finery. Mexican cuisine was moulded by the adventurous conquistadors of yore. As they arrived in the Aztec capital, they combined local food with tomato, vanilla, avocado, chili peppers, and beans, introduced rice and created the world’s earliest instances of fusion cuisine. Here’s an opportunity for you to sample this distinctive fare.
