Cricket: CNA trounce Vimannagar XI

Cricket Next Academy (CNA) thumped Vimannagar XI by a huge margin of 160 runs,thanks to a brilliant 39-ball century by 11-year-old Hrishikesh Motkar in the Shivrampant Damle Under -13 Cricket Trophy organised by Maharashtra Mandal on Thursday.

Vimannagar won the toss and put the opposition in to bat. CNA put up a huge total of 206 runs without loss in their allotted 15 overs. The innings was dominated by the brilliance of one Hrushikesh Motkar.

He scored 100 runs of 39 balls,which included 19 hits to the boundary. He thrashed the bowlers mercilessly all over the park,giving them no chance to dismiss him. To reach the milestone of scoring the fastest century of the tournament,he needed to score 15 runs of the last over and he did it with ease. He scored two runs of the last delivery of the innings and got a well deserved century.

Devika Vaidya gave him good support with 28 runs and took the team to a massive total of 206 runs.

In reply,Vimannagar managed to score just 46 runs before being bowled out in 12.4 overs.

It was a poor batting performance and none of the players managed to get to double figures.

For CNA,Karan Bhonsale and Prafulla Adagle were the main bowlers for their team,picking up a couple of wickets each. The rest of the attack chipped in with a wicket each and demolished the opposition.
