An Emirates flight on way to Dubai from Delhi was cancelled after the aircraft developed a technical fault.

An Emirates flight on way to Dubai from Delhi was cancelled after the aircraft developed a technical fault.

The flight,which was to take off at 11.30 am,was cancelled after passengers were asked to wait at the airport for nearly 6 hours. “We were asked to wait for an hour initially,but that turned into six hours. No information was available. Over 230 passengers from different parts of the world were inconvenienced and many ended up missing connecting flights,” Eijaz Alam,one of the passengers,said. The passengers were finally taken to a hotel around 5.30 pm.

Orhan Abbas,Emirates Vice-President (India and Nepal),said,“Emirates is rebooking passengers on its next available flights as well as on other airlines.”
